Karen Jo Schulz who came into this world as a beautiful baby girl named Karen Jo Phillips on August 9, 1944 has gained the most beautiful Angel wings ever on July 3rd, 2026.

Karen was a resident of Meadowview Assisted Living in Arlington, Texas from July 1, 2022 until the day she passed away. Other than a few years in Dallas, Texas she lived most of her life in Waxahachie, Texas.

Karen was a woman who loved her Lord and tried to serve him every day. She loved going to church , reading her Bible, listening to church hymns and gospel music. She worked very hard at being the God fearing Christian that he wants us all to be. She was kind to most everyone and would go out of her way to help anyone and everyone. She was even good at not letting bad words slip...most times!! She was adorable...and funny too. She loved to laugh and to make others laugh as well. She had a deep devotion to her family, loved ones, and friends and would do anything she could to help them in any way possible. What a blessing it was to have her as a friend and even more so to be her daughter (4 of us)

On November 7th of 2014 Karen and Leonard Johnny Schulz were married at The Ennis Care Center. Sadly, he got sick and on June 11, 2016 she lost the love of her life when he passed away.

In addition to her husband who she called "Schulz" , she was preceded in death by her father R.C. Phillips and her mother Doris Phillips; her brother, Jimmy Phillips; her brother Ron Phillips, and her son-in-law Michael, husband of her daughter Brenda.

Karen is survived by 4 daughters: Sandra Harben (George), Dianna Newman (Angelo), Debra Tice (Daniel), Brenda Burnett. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, her brother John Phillips (Carla), and sister-in-law Sandra "Sandy" Phillips, wife of Karens brother Ron Phillips, along with many friends including Cindy Tipton and her best friend at Meadowview Assisted Living...Maria Perez. She will be missed so very much!

Moms wish was to be cremated and buried close to her husband so her will...will be done.

Graveside Service is July 31st at 11:00 A.M.
