Karen
Boggs
March 25, 1958 – April 9, 2026
On April 9, 2026, Karen Boggs passed away surrounded by her children at Baylor Scott & White in Waxahachie, Texas.
Karen (Morris) Boggs was born in New Haven, Missouri, on March 25, 1958, to Charles and Flora (Sliger) Morris.
She is survived by her three daughters, Melissa Boggs and son-in-law Donald Marshall; Jamie (Boggs) Russell and son-in-law Kevin Russell; and Michelle Boggs; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Walker, Raymodrick Walker, and Noah Boggs; along with other loving family members, including Helen Pinkston, Fred Capps, Peanut Morris, G.G. Morris, Chris Morris, and several close family friends.
Karen married her husband, James (Jim) Boggs, in 1976 in Missouri. They moved to Waxahachie, Texas, in 1981 to be closer to family. While raising her children there, Karen worked for various companies, including Walmart. After an injury, she remained at home, focusing on her health and family.
Although her mobility became limited later in life, that didn’t stop her from spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed getting in the car with family and “running around” to all her favorite stores, especially Walmart, and was always on the hunt for a good deal. Karen was a huge Disney fan and loved collecting Mickey Mouse watches and other memorabilia. When it became harder to go out, she found joy in painting and doing crafts at home.
Karen will be truly missed.
