Julia Sharp

Julia "Julie" Ann Hester Sharp, 70, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home located at 1826 W. Highway 287 Business in Waxahachie.

Julie was born, February 17, 1948 in Hillsboro, Texas. The youngest of seven children born to loving parents, William Pickney and Ila Mae Henry Hester. Julie was raised in Grandview and Itasca, eventually graduating from Itasca High School in 1966.

She later married and moved to Waxahachie where she devotedly raised her children Krista Sharp Reed (husband, Warren), and Jason Sharp (wife, Amy).

Julie was known for her infectious laughter, her encouragement of others with love, faith and music.

She was also the loving Juju to her grandchildren, Emily Anderson, Julia Reed, Woody Sharp, and Georgia Reed. When not doting on her grandchildren she was an avid traveler - be it for a road trip for the Great Christmas Light Fight, a concert, the State Fair, or a trip to try a random new restaurant. She was often accompanied by her partners in crime: Elaine Gardner, Tabby Ashmore, Peggy Cantu and Janelle Thornton. She also loved her visits with her Brother Roy Hester, and sister-in-law Beth.

Julie recently began a partial retirement from her long career in the banking industry.

Julie will be missed by many friends and family members, she lived a beautiful and rewarding life while touching those around her.
