Joyce Juanita Rodriguez, age 78, of Waxahachie, Texas, was called home to the Lord on March 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born on December 1, 1947, in Lubbock, Texas, to Thomas Jackson “Bud” Coffman and Anna Mae Coffman. She grew up in Lubbock, where she graduated from Monterrey High School and enjoyed hanging out with friends in her spare time.

On May 26, 1973, she married the love of her life, Johnny Rodriguez, and together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion, sharing 53 wonderful years of marriage.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Johnny Rodriguez; her son, Michael Rodriguez and wife Kara; her daughter, Nicole Gomez and husband Brandon; her beloved grandchildren, Derek Rodriguez and fiancée Abby Eilers, Gracie McKinley and husband Josh, Leah Rodriguez, and Daylan Mosley; her brother, Tom Coffman and wife Linda; and many loved members of the Coffman family. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment she shared with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary Ann Bowie, and Mary Ann’s husband, Byron Bowie.

Joyce spent much of her career working in data entry at Solar Turbines, where she was known for her strong work ethic and attention to detail. Outside of work, she found joy in gardening, playing board games, spending time with friends and family, and creating a warm and welcoming home for those she loved. Joyce loved the Lord and found fulfillment in attending church and serving others. After retirement, she and Johnny enjoyed traveling, having visited all 48 contiguous United States.

Friends and family will remember her as a loving, funny, and kind-hearted person. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew her. She opened her home, her heart, and her refrigerator to everyone she met.
