Josephine "Josie" Sanchez De Los Santos, ninety-three, passed away on April 2 after a brief illness. Born on June 15, 1932, in Junction, Texas she lived a long and meaningful life grounded in faith, family, and service.

Josie was known for her strong devotion to God and her steady, gentle presence. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and she shared these talents generously with those around her. Her commitment to her family and her community remained constant throughout her life. 

She is survived by her children: Avelardo De Los Santos, Elva Rodriguez, Nora De Los Santos, Elizabeth Beaty, Sandra Brown, Elia De Los Santos, and Michellena Petersen, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Aurora Sanchez, Lupe Sorrells, one brother Sostenez Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and love of her life, Julian De Los Santos.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 24 at 5:00 p.m. at First Assembly in Waxahachie. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
