Johnnie D. Grisham passed away in his home March 22, 2026 after a short illness.

Johnnie was born June 21, 1931 to A.C. and Grisham in Britton, TX.

He was drafted at 21 years old to served in the Korean Conflict in 1952. After his honorable discharge in 1953, he became a heavy equipment operator for Charlie Moore Construction, where he established much of the plumbing systems in South Dallas. After his departure from Moore Construction, he struck out on his own and established Grisham Backhoe service. After almost 40 years of working for himself, he finally retired in 2001.

Johnnie filled his spare time with vintage cars and hot rods, a love that he passed on to his family.

In 1955 he married Dolores Grisham, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son Rickie L. Grisham (Cecilia), one grandson Joshua L. Grisham (Jacque), one granddaughter Hannah L. Casteneda, and six great grandchildren; Isabel, Zoey, Jaxon, Lakynn, Rickie Dean, and Ava.
