Joe Moreno 79, of Waxahachie passed away February 6, 2024. He was born to the late Otilio and Vivian Moreno on January 9, 1945.

Joe was a very devoted Catholic. He was baptized, completed his first communion, and was married at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. He enjoyed fishing, bingo and listening to country music. He was a happy and comical person, and always brought joy to family gatherings with his singing and jokes.

He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon completing military service, he was a specialty cabinet maker.

He was preceded in death by his wife Robbie, parents Otilio and Vivian Moreno, brother Andy, sister Frances, brothers in law Tom Pavoldi, and Delfino Valdez. Sisters-in-law Margaret, Mary, and Lupe Moreno.

He is survived by his brothers Frank Moreno of Irving, Pete Moreno of Waxahachie, Alfred Moreno (Vera) of Irving, John Moreno (Shirley) of Carrollton, Jesse Moreno (Vicki) of Desoto, Albert Moreno (Jerry) of Seagoville; Sisters Pauline Pavoldi of Waxahachie, Geneva Aguilar of Mesquite, Olga Valdez of Dallas, Cynthia Tamez (Gearold) of Dallas. Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Pallbearers will be Frank Moreno Jr., Jesse James Moreno, Marshall Tamez, Timothy Moreno, Joseph Pena, and Christopher Valdez.
