James Martinez

James Martinez Sr. was born on June 18,1969 in Hearne, TX to Manuel Martinez Sr. Martinez & Jenobeva Martinez. James was raised in Waxahachie and attended the local high school. He loved the simple life. James enjoyed taking care of his animals, fishing on the weekends, and shooting his guns. One of his favorite pets was a rooster named Fred. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved his nephews and nieces. His house was always filled with all of his nephews and nieces. James wanted us to celebrate his life by remembering good times and toasting in his honor.

He is survived by his wife Maribel Martinez and his children Anthony Ortiz 25, Alex Ortiz 23, Raymond Martinez 21, James Martinez Jr 19, Valerie Martinez 17, and Linda Martinez 12, and Grandchildren Madison M. Ortiz, Arianna G. Ortiz, and Theodore C. Martinez. His parents Manuel & Jenobeva Martinez. His surviving siblings are Diana Martinez, MaryAnn Martinez, Manuel Martinez Jr, Danny Martinez Sr., Henry Martinez Sr., Frank Martinez, Angela Martinez, Consuela Valdez, and Magdalena Martinez.

Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Anibal Adorno officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
