On February 25th 2021 James (Jim) Boggs lost his battle with COVID-19. He was surrounded by his wife and kids at Baylor Scott & White in Waxahachie during his final moments.
James (Jim) Boggs was born in St. Louis, MO on June 9, 1955 to James and Emma Jean (Quillen) Boggs. He was survived by his loving wife Karen Boggs and his three daughters, Melissa Boggs and son-in-law Donald Marshall, daughter Jamie Russell (Boggs) and son-in-law Kevin Russell and daughter Michelle Boggs, grandchildren Katelyn Walker, Raymodrick Walker, and Noah Boggs. Along with other loving family Helen Pinkston, Dale Slaghen, and Fred Capps; and several close family friends. Last, but not least his amazing H-E-B family. Jim worked with them for over 25 years and they will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Something you may or may not know about Jim. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and St. Louis Cardinals fan. The love of sports ran through his veins. As a young boy he would be playing hockey on a frozen pond or wiffle ball with the neighborhood kids. This stayed with him as an adult. He played softball two to three nights a week until his knees wouldn’t let him play, but by then grandkids were playing baseball. Dad always put everyone else’s needs and wants before his own. He was a family man. We still took family vacations every year just like when we were growing up. Dad,we will always love you and you will truly be missed.
