Henry Lee Wakeland, Jr., age 90, passed away on September 16, 2025. Born on July 23, 1935, Henry lived a life marked by service, faith, and deep devotion to his family.


On July 6, 1953, Henry married the love of his life, Georgia Jean Wakeland. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. He was preceded in death by Georgia, his beloved wife of many years; his parents, Henry Lee Wakeland, Sr. and Willie G. Brown; and his sister, LaJoyce Brown.


Henry is survived by his daughter Jeana Williams and her husband Randy Williams, and by his son Jimmy Wakeland. He was a proud grandfather to Jennifer Hott and Whitney Garcia, and a cherished great-grandfather to Gavin Harvey, Jazlyn Harvey, Alyssa Harvey, and Cain Harvey. He found special joy in his great-great-grandchildren, Harlo Harvey and River Ryburn.


Henry proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant in both the Air National Guard and the United States Air Force. Following his service, he became an entrepreneur and opened Wakeland Trailer Manufacturing. His dedication to service extended beyond the military and career to every aspect of his life. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, always willing to serve others and contribute however he could.


In his free time, Henry enjoyed traveling, playing games with friends, and, most of all, spending quality time with his family. He will be remembered for his steady presence, giving heart, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.


Henry Lee Wakeland, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of integrity, service, and love—a life well lived and deeply treasured by all who knew him.
