Helen Ann McDaniel went to meet her Lord and Savior and loved ones on March 6, 2023. Born February 8, 1936, in Corsicana, TX. After graduating Corsicana High School, she married Travis Austin Steadman, pastor of Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church. They moved to Lubbock, TX where their sons, Terry and Tim were born. They eventually moved to Carrollton TX where Austin pastored Highland Baptist Church. After Austin’s passing, Ann married Jack McDaniel and moved to Waxahachie TX. Ann was twice a devoted pastor’s wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful servant.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Irene Howell, brother John Howell, and husbands Austin Steadman and Jack McDaniel.
Ann is survived by her sister Marie (Tiny) Herring; sons Terry Steadman and wife Kim, Tim Steadman and wife Kim; stepchildren Jan Ward and Kenny McDaniel; nephews John Howell, Darrell and Stan Steadman; nieces Julie Green and Christi Coe; five grandchildren, Brandon Steadman and his wife Natalie, Kara Allred and her husband Steven, Chad and Hayden Steadman and Kate Ward; six great grandchildren Maggie, Melanie and Mylie Steadman; Lee, Hank and Austin Allred.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon Monday March 13 at Farley Street Baptist Church, now Pathway Baptist Church, with internment to follow at Hilltop Memorial Park, Carrollton Tx. Visitation will be at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie TX, Sunday March 12 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Steadman, John Howell, Darrell and Stan Steadman, Kenny McDaniel and Steven Allred. Alternate, David Ward.
