Guadalupe Moreno

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Lupe Moreno, our loving and devoted mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched.

Guadalupe “Lupe” Moreno, age 76, passed away November 30, 2019. She was born February 7, 1943 in Hearne, Texas to George Senior and Rosa Flores. As the oldest daughter of 9 children, she spent many years caring for her family. She married her friend and love, Pete Moreno, in April of 1967, recently celebrating their 50th anniversary. She spent many years on Lupe’s Alterations, making sure her family and citizens of Waxahachie were dressed to a “T.”  She also shared her love with food such as homemade tamales, fresh pizza, scrumptious empanadas, and delicious cakes.

Lupe was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and was a second mother to many as well. She especially loved her role as “Grammy.” She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She had many lifelong dedicated friends, and her customers at Lupe’s Alterations loved her as well.

Lupe is survived by her husband, Pete, daughters Anna, Carol, and Becky and three precious grandsons Christian, Richard, and Vinicio.

She had a wonder life. We are sure that she would like to thank all those that made it possible.

A visitation with the family will begin at 5:00 PM- 6:00 PM Sunday, December 08, 2019 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 PM .

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 09, 2019 at 10AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father John Dick as Celebrant.
