Glenda Kay Fleeman, known as Kay to those who loved her, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, in her hometown of Waxahachie, Texas, at the age of 74. She was born on March 16, 1950, and spent her life surrounded by family, friends, and the animals she adored. Kay was preceded in death by her father, Chester Fleeman; her mother, Barbara Fleeman; her brother, Sonny Fleeman; and her sister, Sue Mellos. She leaves behind her beloved cousins, Courtney and Trey Prather, as well as many other cherished family members, friends, and her faithful dog, Pinky. A true Texan at heart, Kay’s love for Waxahachie was as deep as her love for horses and dogs. She found joy and fulfillment in her work as a hairdresser and later as a dog groomer, caring for her clients with the same warmth and dedication she gave to her loved ones. Kay will be remembered for her generous spirit, her love of animals, and the vibrant life she built in the town she held dear. She touched the lives of many, leaving behind memories of laughter, care, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.
