Genevia Anne Compton, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on December 21,2021

She was born on August 18, 1941 in Keller, Texas to the late David and Maudie Drake.

Genevia managed a café in 1955 which soon after she met Robert Lee Compton, who she later married on June 5th, 1957.  They began their life together and soon had developed a family of five children that would become their foundation through good times and bad.

She will always be remembered for her unselfish sacrifices for her family and her dedication to her faith, not to mention her brilliant  eyes and her giving heart.  Her love of music, roller skating and dancing will never be forgotten, along with her abilities in the kitchen.  Everyone who was blessed to spend any time in the kitchen with Genevia gained a life lesson that will never be forgotten.  Anyone she met was quickly a friend and not a stranger.

Genevia is proceeded in death her parents, David and Maudie Drake, and her siblings David, Maudie and Earnest.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Lee Compton, and her children Robert Lee Jr., Cynthia Anne, Gregory Allen, Trina Machelle and Angela Rae.  She has 9 Grandchildren and many great Grandchildren. Pallbearers: Trina,Kitt,Christy,Riley,Cody,Lil Greg,RL.
