Freda June Brand, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, and friend to many, passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on June 16, 1948, in Whittier, California, to Vida Hatfield LeBlanc and Leslie LeBlanc.

Freda lived a life centered on family, faith, creativity, service, and love. She was married to her beloved husband, Bobby "Bob" Brand, with whom she shared many cherished years together. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she poured her heart into those she loved while also using her talents and gifts to bless countless others. Freda continued her education through some college coursework and faithfully shared her creativity and compassion throughout her life.

A gifted composer and singer, Freda had a deep passion for music, especially Southern Gospel. She admired and was inspired by artists such as the Gaithers, Goodman family, and other beloved Southern Gospel musicians. Her music was not only a talent, but a way she shared her heart and faith with those around her.

Freda dedicated part of her career as a secretary at Palm Springs Baptist Church and also worked with a crisis pregnancy center, where she was able to serve and encourage others. She was known for her kind spirit, creativity, and willingness to help those in need.

Outside of her work and music, Freda found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved spending time gardening, exploring thrift stores, and enjoying the peaceful lake on their property. She also had a special love for animals and especially enjoyed spending time with their beloved dog, Gigi. She treasured the beauty of nature, the companionship of her furry friends, and the memories made with those she loved.

Freda's song will live on through the many lives she touched, the music she created, and the love she shared so freely.

A service to celebrate Freda's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Pathways Church in Waxahachie with Pastor Richard officiating.
