Forest Eugene Moss, age 97, entered into his heavenly home on Monday, June 8, 2026. He was born on August 10, 1928, in Dallas, Texas, to Forest P. Moss and Dovie May Moss.

On February 28, 1947, Forest married the love of his life, Doris Mae Moore. He affectionately called Doris his "blue-eyed baby." Together, they shared 67 years of marriage and raised five children: Charlotte, Donna, Gayla, Phillip, and Glenna. Their marriage was a beautiful example of love, faith, and devotion. Doris preceded him in death in September 2014 at the age of 82.

Forest's first job, at the age of 18, was delivering medical equipment on a scooter for local medical supply companies. He was later employed by LTV in Grand Prairie and by Bob Hayes Chevrolet in Dallas. He was known as "the preacher" at work because he always enjoyed telling others about the Lord.

For more than 50 years, Forest attended Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dallas. His faith in God was a guiding force throughout his life and was evident in the way he lived each day.

Forest was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He had a lifelong love of playing the piano, tending his garden, fishing, and fixing anything that needed repair. He played the piano and organ for the churches he attended and for various traveling quartets.

He leaves behind a loving family and a legacy that spans generations. He was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Above all else, Forest treasured his family and his faith. He will be deeply missed, but his family rejoices in the long life the Lord gave him and in knowing that he is now in the presence of his Savior, hearing the words, 

"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23.
