David Jenkins

David A. Jenkins, 70, of Arlington, Texas went to be with The Lord, Tuesday, March 2, 2021. David was born January 17, 1951 in Waxahachie, Texas. David graduated from Italy high school in 1969 then went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

David was a Dallas Police Officer who retired with 28 years of service. During that time he had proudly earned numerous commendations including 2 Life Saving Awards.  Deciding retirement was not for him, in 2017 he proudly became a Police Officer for Dallas Baptist University as well as serving as a City Marshal for the City of Grand Prairie.

David loved the ocean, animals and nature. He enjoyed working and playing golf. In his teenage years he was quite the avid bull rider.

He is survived by his Wife, Brenda A. Jenkins, Son & Daughter-in-law Jack H. and Kallie Jenkins, Grandsons Jake A. Jenkins and Brody J. Jenkins. Parents David C. & Lois J. Jenkins and Stepfather, Earl McReynolds. Sister, Sherry Bowling, Sister and Brother-in-law Rhonda & Alan Kilburn and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He is predeceased by his Mother, Merlene Coker and Brother, Robin Jenkins.
