David Virgil Adair

David V. Adair passed away at home in Palmer on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved him dearly after a year long battle with an aggressive variant of cancer. He was born in San Diego California on November 25, 1945 to Ethel Hughes and Noel P. Adair.

David spent fifty eight years married to the love of his life, Ronnie, and their life together was the kind folks talk about with a smile. He is survived by his son Chris, his daughter in law Cipriana, and his granddaughters Hannah Skylar and Layla Raine, all of whom he was endlessly proud of.

David earned his associates degree and built a long career as a heavy equipment operator. He was the kind of man who knew how to work hard, fix what was broken, and lend a hand without being asked.

What Dave loved most, though, were hot rods. That was his world. He could talk cars for hours and lit up anytime he was behind the wheel. If you knew him, you knew the man loved chrome, horsepower, and a good long drive.

Services will be held on Friday, December 12 at 10:00am at First Baptist Church in Waxahachie Texas with a procession to the graveside at Gateway. Pastor Joe Barrentine will be officiating, with live music performed by David Howard as the soloist and Sherry Novak as the accompanist.

To honor Dave’s lifelong love of hot rods, everyone attending is encouraged to bring their hot rods and join the procession to the cemetery. It is exactly the kind of sendoff he would have wanted, full of family, friends, and the sounds of engines.
