Daniel Gustavo
Ortega
June 9, 2000 – March 14, 2026
Daniel Gustavo Ortega, born June 9, 2000, in Waxahachie, Texas, passed away alongside his beloved wife, Aleena on March 14, 2026. Daniel grew up in Waxahachie and as the baby of the family, he was held close, and that love shaped the man he became. He carried that love with him and shared it freely, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was known for his vibrant spirit and the joy he brought to everyone around him. He lived fully in the moment, laughing often, loving deeply, and lighting up every room he entered.
Daniel had a love for music, dancing, and Drake. He also found joy in shoes and basketball. But above all, he cherished the time he spent with those he loved. He was a devoted son, a protective and loving brother, and a loyal friend. Although Dani was a jokester, he had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Daniel truly never met a stranger, only friends he had yet to meet. He was the kind of person you could count on, someone who showed up, made you laugh, and made life feel lighter. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family, always putting them first in everything he did. His love for his family was unwavering. His life was a reflection of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love.
Daniel was more than the roles he held; he was an instrument of God’s love and a light in this world. While we grieve deeply, we hold onto the promise that this is not goodbye, but “see you again.” His spirit lives in the love he gave, the memories we cherish, and the lives he touched.
Daniel and Aleena had a beautiful bond from the beginning and was made even more special by sharing the same birthday. Together, they were building a life centered on love and faith. They leave behind their greatest blessing, their son Dominic. He is survived by his parents, Juan and Juana Ortega; his sister Gaby Krajca and husband Brad; sister Mariana Martinez; brother Juan Ortega and wife Daira; nephews, Sebastian and Grayson; nieces, Ryleigh and Valerie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Though Daniel’s life was brief, it was filled with purpose, love, and light. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. We take comfort in knowing that his light continues to shine in Heaven and in each of us who were blessed to know him.
