Connie Boyte

January 20, 1953 — July 19, 2021

Waxahachie

Connie Elizabeth (Hudson) Boyte, age 68 (or self-proclaimed 26) went to live in the house of the Lord on Monday, July 19, 2021. Connie was a devout Christian, loving wife, and selfless family matriarch - who embodied faith, grace, and forgiveness in all aspects of her life. She possessed both the ability to be the steady, guiding hand that all of her family could lean on in times of struggle and the child-like wonder to lift those around her with all of the things within the world in which there is to marvel at and to be appreciative of. She will be remembered for her servant’s heart, her resiliency and maintained faith when those around her needed it most, and for the invaluable lessons instilled in her children that were and will be passed down for generations after. She will be remembered as a compassionate and loving sibling. She will be remembered as a beloved friend. But most of all-she will be remembered simply as Mama. The world will forever be a brighter place because of the light that exuded from her.

Connie was preceded in passing by her loving parents Claude Allen and Eula Lee (Carroll) Hudson, the two loves of her life Mack Robert Boyte and John William Allbright, her son Johnny Ray Hudson, son-in-law Mike Johnston, and sister-in-laws Ella and Cindy Hudson. She is survived by her siblings Allen Hudson, Cecil (Theresa) Hudson, Charles (Mary Ann) Hudson, Teresa (Noel) Stalnaker, Charlotte Hudson, and Mary (John) Scott. She is also survived by her children Bobbie Johnston, Bubba (Teri) Boyte, Robert (Cindee) Boyte, Christian (Nathan) Carroll, Rosita (Josh) McGee, Jason (Lea) Schutz, Jessica (Timothy) Cooley,  Kim Martin, Tracy (Michael) Smallwood, Kevin Allbright, 30 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to express immense gratitude to Connie’s brother Cecil and sister Teresa, as well as their spouses, for their sacrifices and efforts made to care for her in her final days. Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
