Clyde Louis Williams

Clyde Louis “Lou” Williams, 88, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, in Burleson, Texas.

Lou was born on August 27, 1937, in Hurley, Missouri to Clyde Leonard Williams and Juanita Opal Wright. He grew up on a farm in Colony, Kansas before settling and raising a family with his wife, Cathy, in Grand Prairie, Texas. Lou retired after 29 years with Vought Corporation in the Aerospace industry, where he was a highly respected materials manager, contributing to major military aviation programs and even receiving a patent certificate during his time there.

Lou was also a “jack of all trades” and had a strong work ethic, staying busy with homebuilding, tractor mowing, water well drilling and countless other ventures. He was a passionate outdoorsman, enjoying a lifetime of fishing and hunting adventures. In his free time, you would have found him in Oklahoma tending to a friend’s land and hunting hogs, trapping a bobcat or coyote, fishing at the lake, gardening, tinkering in his shop, reading a western novel, or making the best beef jerky around.

Most importantly, Lou was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He and Cathy shared 61 years of love and memories, raising kids and taking pride in caring for their beautiful home and yard together. Lou loved and cherished his family. He drove friends to cancer treatments, tended to neighbors’ yards, and countless other acts of service. He was a loyal friend with a larger-than-life personality and loved by all who had the honor to know him.

Lou is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Williams, and their daughters, Susan Williams Phillips and Tina Mitchell (Randy), his children from a previous marriage, Vince Williams (Kate) and Kimela Williams. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jake Mitchell, Cameron Mitchell, Mia Mitchell, Ava Mitchell, Jason Martens, and Patricia Harroun, as well as six great-grandchildren, beloved nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral services will be held. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or to their favorite charity in Lou’s memory.
