Charles Meredith Waller

Charles Meredith Waller, 84, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1940, in Maypearl, Texas, to Charles Leroy Waller and Jessie Miller Waller.

Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Ann Waller; two sons, Greg Waller and wife Laura, and Chris Waller and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Brandy Hobart and husband Nate, Monica Broiles, Tripp Waller, and Mattie Waller; and great-granddaughter Ellison Hobart. He is also survived by nephew Kevin Stocks and wife Rika, niece Pam Kirby, along with many other beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Thelma Manning; and his nephew, Brian Stocks.

Charles graduated from Maypearl High School in 1959 and proudly served eight years in the Texas Air National Guard, attaining the rank of Sergeant. A dedicated member of the Waxahachie Masonic Lodge No. 90, he served as a Past Master and remained active in the organization throughout his life.

In 1962, Charles began a long and successful career with Texas Power & Light Co., serving in various roles and locations across the state. He retired in 1996 as Corporate Traffic Manager for TXU Services in Dallas. During his career, he was an engaged member of both the Southwest Shippers Advisory Board and the Dallas Transportation Club.

Following his retirement from TXU, Charles continued his public service as Ellis County Commissioner for Precinct 3, serving a four-year term.

Outside of his professional life, Charles enjoyed working on his farm, hunting, fishing, and following baseball. He had a passion for antique cars and treasured time spent with friends and family above all else.

Charles will be remembered for his dedication to service, love of the outdoors, and deep devotion to his family and community.

Visitation will be September 8, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
