We called him Papa, he loved fishing, gardening, working with his cows, each one had a name, his dogs and cat would all follow him everywhere. He had a knack for training animals to do what he told them. He loved to go to rodeos, eat catfish, he could cook catfish and BBQ that would melt in your mouth. When he was young he had a pet skunk, yes, it was de-scented, it would ride in his car everywhere. He said it was funny because when he pulled up somewhere people would scatter. He worked for the City of Dallas Sanitation Department. Only having a 6th grade education he worked all the way up in his department to Supervisor. He also delivered Meals on Wheels and sold his vegetables at a local market in Cleburne, Texas. When he could he liked going to garage sales he could get any price down, he loved to go to the park in Cleburne just to hangout with his beloved dog Snoopy. Snoopy was with him to the end of life, and will be with him in eternity.
