Barbara Carol Jett peacefully slipped the surly bonds of Earth at sunrise on Pentecostal Sunday, May 24th, 2026. She was born on June 2nd 1947 in Lubbock Tx to John and Jewell Hill. She was the baby sister to 8 siblings and was the remaining survivor of her family. She is survived by her husband John Wayne, sons John David and Matthew, their wives, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Barbara’s example of Love, Kindness, and faithfulness to God, to her husband, family, and friends will continue to mentor generations to come. Her smile and presence that made each room a brighter place will be missed in times of darkness. The humor, wit, and wisdom that prevailed over her shyness will continue to be revealed through those who truly knew her.

We will celebrate her life at the Wayne Boze Funeral home in Waxahachie TX on Monday June 1st:The funeral service is from 1pm until 2:30pm with a graveside service immediately following. The viewing is earlier from 10am to 12 noon the same day.
