Auther Clyde Blaylock was born on December 4, 1933. He passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 20, 2019. Auther was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. He was a wonderful example of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness. He made an impact on the lives of everyone that ever crossed his path.
Auther retired from the military after 30 years of service, the city of Dallas after 30 years, and was well known for his 20 years as “Mr. Walmart” as the door greeter.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce, his 4 children Cobby (Vicki), Becky Breaux, Sonya Compton (Bobby), and Aubrey (Patti), his sister, Shirley Youngblood, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He loved being around people, sharing stories, and making sure everyone knew that he loved them, and Jesus loved them. He will be missed greatly, but we all have only good memories of him and his presence while he was here on earth.
His family would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming response of kindness, prayers, and love during this difficult time.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
