Amy Russell Hogan, 54, of Midlothian, Texas, passed away on May 16th in Anchorage, Alaska. 

Amy was born on February 17th, 1972, in Austin, Texas to Jolynn and Cliff Russell. She was raised in Arlington, Texas. Amy graduated from Martin High School in 1990. Amy played violin in the school orchestra all four years. She attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelors in Family Science. She went on to get her RN, registered nurses license, from Weber State University. In October 2025 Amy graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Masters in Nursing Education. As a teenager she worked at Mr. Jim’s Pizza. Amy always had at least one job until 2022. 

After graduating BYU she worked for the state of Utah in the Foster Care Citizen Review Board. After receiving her RN license Amy worked at Mckay-Dee hospital in Ogden, Utah for 16 years. She worked in the postpartum unit and also as a lactation consultant. After moving to Midlothian, Texas she worked at Medical City Arlington as part of the antepartum unit also teaching childbirth classes. 

July, 1995 Amy met her future husband, Craig Hogan while working part time at the Shed restaurant in Salt Lake City. They were sealed in the Dallas Texas Temple May 22, 1999. They lived in West Bountiful Utah until 2001 and then resided in Centerville Utah until July 2016. Craig and Amy had four children, three daughters and one son. In July of 2016 Amy and family moved to Midlothian, Texas to be closer to her parents where she resided until she passed. Amy served in the church in many callings including; Young Women’s leader and Presidency, Primary Chorister, Primary teacher, and Activity Days leader. She enjoyed supporting her children in their various activities. Amy was an avid fan of Formula 1, the Dallas Stars, and baking. 

She is survived by her husband Craig Hogan and her four children Abby, Rachel (Mattew), Meg, and Carter. Her parents Cliff and Jolynn Russell. Brothers Brad and Cory, and sister Kara. Preceeded in death by mother in law Coy Hogan.
