The family invites all to join them for a moment of remembrance on the life of Mr. Allen Trog. A meal and refreshments will be served after the service.
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Allen Keith Trog, 67, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away peacefully at home with his wife Robyn of 45 years at his side after battling dementia.
He was born July 13, 1958 at Hotel Dieu in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Charles Julius and Nellie Jane (Godwin) Trog.
He graduated from South Houston High School, attended Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas, from 1977 to 1981.
He loved God with all his heart and was a preacher and teacher of the Gospel for some years.
He enjoyed supporting his children in their various sports: soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and Taekwondo (earning his 1st degree black belt 2010); he also enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors, woodworking, and yard work.
He worked a variety of jobs to support his family and his children’s homeschool education, including the Sears loading dock, as a mechanic at Brooks Automotive, and Tyler Refrigeration for over twenty years before moving to Owens-Corning Fiberglass until his retirement in July 2023.
He taught each of his children something from his many years of mechanical expertise.
He is survived by his wife, Robyn; sons: Joshua and his wife Kristi, their child, Emiliana; Jared and his wife Gaby, their children, Coren, Kaladin, and Artemis; Justin and his wife Taylor, their children, Sloan and Oliver; daughter, Carolynn Forbus and her husband Seth.
Brother: Garry and his wife Dorothy, their children: Heather; David and his wife Nikki, their child, Sadie; Clarrissa Wilbur and her husband Randall, their children Russell, Callahan, and Baker.
Brother: Norman, his children: Christina Trog Clayton, her children, Stephanie and Krista (great grandchildren Levi and Kinsley); Debbie Prater and her husband Kenny, their children: Nathan and Eliza Whitlow and her husband Matthew; (great granddaughter, Merrick)
Sister Nancy Alexander.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronnie, and brother-in-law, William Alexander.
Robyn would like to extend thanks to their community, the Hospice Plus team, and the PC Home Health caregiver team for their support over the last few years.
