Alberle Esten "A.E." Amyx of Seven Points, Texas was born April 30, 1916 in Decatur, Texas to William Riley and Mattie Pauline Bates Amyx. He died Friday, July 17, in Red Oak, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Gwene Alyne Giles Amyx, brothers, Glenn and Edwin Amyx, and sisters,Connie Winstead, Pauline Dozier, and Edith Porter.

He is survived by his son John C. Amyx and wife Lola of Seven Points, Texas, daughters, Abby Pennington of Orlando, Florida, Janice Nance and husband Nathan of Midlothian, Texas, and Jill Snider and her husband Harold of Lexington, Kentucky. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. He loved God and his family. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Visitation will be Monday evening, July 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wayne Boze Funer Home, 1826 W Hwy 287 Business, Waxahachie, Texas. Wayne England will conduct Graveside Services on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at Bolivar Cemetery, Bolivar, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seven Points Church of Christ 235 W. Cedar Creek Parkway Seven Points, TX 75143, where he was an active member for over 30 years.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
