Arvin Glen Yandell, age 51

Arvin Glen Yandell, of The Colony, passed away Monday at Trinity Medical Center, Carrollton. He was born in Dallas to Raymond Eugene and Alma Jean (Long) Yandell. Arvin graduated from Wilmer-Hutchins High School, attended North Texas University at Denton and served with the US Air Force 1972-1976, serving during the Viet Nam War. He and Sue Klepper were married May 26, 1973 in Dallas. He was project manager for Ericson Electronics for fourteen years. He was a big supporter of The Colony Band Booster Club, enjoyed sports, fishing, golf, snow and water skiing. He enjoyed all out door sports. Mr. Yandell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilmer.

He is survived by: his wife, Sue Yandell of The Colony; mother, Alma Jean Rainey of Wilmer; daughter, Nicole Lynn Yandell of The Colony; brothers, Andy Ray Yandell and his wife JoAnn of Conway, AR., and Ervin Gwen Yandell of Wilmer; sister, Edith Ann Korgan and husband Kenneth of Red Oak; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jack Rainey.

The family will receive friends and relatives 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Red Oak. The Celebration of Life will be 2 PM Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the East Ridge Baptist Church, 732 E. Ovilla Rd., Red Oak with Bro. Edgar Terrell officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Matthews, Tony Boyd, Kenneth Waters, Rick Wiggins, Reuben Garcia III, and Jose Garcia. Honorary Pallbearer will be Reuben Garcia II. Interment will follow in the Red Oak Cemetery.

A Memorial Fund has been set up for Arvin Yandell at Bank of Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Red Oak.
