Elizabeth Kelley

Elizabeth "Betty" Louise Kelley, 97 of Dallas, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 in a Dallas hospital. She was born March 15, 1920 in Waxahachie to the late Fred and Dovie Elizabeth Kitchens Ramsey.
Betty attended Waxahachie High School. She started work at the age of 16 for Haggar in Dallas. Betty married George Kelley on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1937. She worked as a bank teller for several different banking institutions until her retirement at the age of 65 in 1985. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Winnie Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Truett Kelley in 1986.
She is survived by her cousins, Leon Sonny Robertson of Waxahachie, Joe Pool of Ennis, Cheryl Robertson Neal of Fairview, Cyndy Robertson Brown of Cumming, GA, Autumn Brown Pinckard of Bryan, Brooke Brown of Atlanta, Jon Pool of Rankin, Wes Pool of Ennis; her nieces, Jeanie Kelley of Gainesville, Pat Ziegler of Hot Springs, AR, Melinda Clark of Conroe; her nephew, Kent Faught of Hot Springs Village, AR.
Those serving as pallbearers include, Richard Tesoriero, Mike Silva, Chip Brown, Jack Neal, Matt Pinckard and Joe Pool.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
